Ever wanted to know what it would be like own a vineyard? Blend and create your own wine from your own grapes that you personally tended to? Spend the weekends at your wonderful wine country manor? Now you can lead that dream double life right here in the Finger Lakes. Cayuga Ridge Estate Winery, Barrister’s Bed and Breakfast, and The Hotel Clarence are proud to present The Gentleman (or Gentlewoman) Vintner’s Experience.

Enroll in Cayuga Ridge Estate’s 2010 Vigneron Program and you will you will learn wine making – from growing to blending to bottling -- through this incredible, comprehensive hands-on program. You will “adopt” five vines that are yours to care for and cultivate for the season – complete with a plaque so you can easily identify your vines any time you want to visit them and check on their progress. You will attend five Saturday workshops where you will learn the entire process from expert winemaker and winery owner Tom Challen. You will receive a binder with notes that correspond to each workshop that will act as a handy reference guide as you go through the process. And at the end of the season you will come away with 2 cases of choice wine!

In addition, each weekend you’re tending to your vineyard, you will stay at one of the region’s premiere Victorian B&Bs: Barrister’s Bed & Breakfast in Seneca Falls. A hearty breakfast gets you ready for the day at your vineyard, and wonderfully comfortable period accommodations await you after your day. Also included is a gift certificate for dinner at DiVine Kitchen & Bar, where you will receive a complimentary glass of a featured Cayuga Ridge wine with your culinary creation from Chef Sean and company.

If you prefer an elegant in-town hotel experience, that is available to you as well courtesy of The Hotel Clarence in Seneca Falls. Named for the angel in “It’s a Wonderful Life”, The Clarence is packed with heavenly amenities worthy of a gentleman vintner, especially after a long day in the vineyards. Also included is a 2-course dinner in the Hotel’s DiVine Kitchen & Bar, where you will receive a complimentary glass of a featured Cayuga Ridge wine with your culinary creation from Chef Sean and company.

Stays at your country manor or in-town hotel coincide with the Saturday workshops at Cayuga Ridge and can be one or two nights.

Enrollment in the Cayuga Ridge Estate’s 2010 Vigneron Program depends on the type of wine you wish to make. And share portions are also available for less, the only difference being you do not get 2 cases of wine at the end of your season.

The Gentleman Vintner’s Experience package, which includes 5 weekends of accommodations, dinner, and you must have enrolled into the 2010 Vigneron Program start at $225 for a one night stay only and $390 for the full weekend experience (Friday and Saturday).

The Barrister's B&B Package includes:
